Tanti founded Suzlon in 1995 and has been a driving force in the growth of the Indian wind energy sector by advocating for affordable and sustainable energy policies.
Mr. Tulsi Tanti is the Chairman and Managing Director of the company.

Suzlon was India's largest convertible-note defaulter at one point in 2012, as policy obstacles hampered demand for the company's wind turbines.
Following a loss in the same period last year, the company reported a net profit in the April-June quarter. Over the last year, the stock has increased by about 28%.
