Elections for the Indian Olympic Association will be held on December 10th.
A Bench of Justices D. Y. Chandrachud and Hima Kohli also allowed the draught amended constitution to be circulated among IOA members in accordance with the rules, so that it could be adopted at the November 10 general body meeting.
On November 3, the Supreme Court approved a new timeline proposed by the Justice (retd.) L.N. Rao Committee for holding elections for the executive committee of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA), stating that the polls will be held on December 10.
A Bench of Justices D. Y. Chandrachud and Hima Kohli also allowed the draught amended constitution to be circulated among IOA members in accordance with the rules, so that it could be adopted at the November 10 general body meeting.
The Bench also fixed a remuneration of Rs. 20 lakh for Justice Rao to undertake a comprehensive exercise of preparing the draught constitution and stated that he will also lay out the modalities for circulation of the draught constitution among IOA members.

The Supreme Court also barred courts across the country from hearing any petitions related to the draught constitution or the proposed executive committee elections, stating that all such petitions would be heard by it alone.
On October 10, the Supreme Court approved the timeline for amending the IOA's draught constitution and holding elections, as agreed in a meeting with the International Olympic Committee on September 27 in Lausanne, Switzerland.
It had agreed to postpone the IOA executive committee elections until December 3 due to a meeting of the International Olympic Committee executive board on December 5.
