Srishti Bakshi, an Indian advocate for women's rights, receives the "Changemaker" award
The "Changemaker" award at the UN SDG (United Nations Sustainable Development Goals) Action Awards has been given to Srishti Bakshi.

At a ceremony for the UN SDG (United Nations Sustainable Development Goals) Action Awards held in Bonn, Germany, Srishti Bakshi, an Indian activist for women's rights, took home the "Changemaker" award. The honour is granted in recognition of Srishti Bakshi's efforts to increase public awareness of gender-based violence and inequality.
Regarding Srishti Bakshi
The founder of the CrossBow Miles movement and former marketer Srishti Bakshi set out on a 3,800 km (2,000 mi) on foot pilgrimage through 12 Indian states from Kanyakumari to Kashmir. She has travelled 30 to 35 kilometres and has encountered 150 to 200 individuals daily. Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, and Jammu & Kashmir have previously been traversed by her on foot.
She led more than 100 sessions on women's safety to highlight the factors that contribute to violence against women, empower women, share inspiring tales of resiliency, and promote digital and financial literacy. The documentary WOMB: Women Of My Billion, which followed her journey and documented it, reveals the unfiltered feelings and realities of Indian women.
Concerning the UN SDG Action Awards Ceremony:
The UN SDG Action Awards Ceremony honours people and projects that inspire, connect, and organise people on a daily basis, demonstrating that each of us has the ability to spark transformational action. Over 3,000 applications from 150 countries were used to choose the UN SDG Action Awards finalists, and the winners were revealed live on September 27, 2022.
