** Amit Shah opens the 'Gatha Swaraj Ki' gallery at the Scindia Museum in Gwalior.
At the sprawling Jai Vilas Mahal of Scindias, the erstwhile rulers of Gwalior, Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated a gallery-cum-exhibition depicting the history of prominent Maratha commanders. Shah was in Gwalior to lay the groundwork for the Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Airport's terminal building and expansion.
Shah paid a visit to the palace museum and inaugurated the 'Gatha Swaraj ki-Maratha Gallery,' which depicts the history of the main Maratha rulers such as the Scindias, Gaikwads, Holkars, Nevalkars, Bhosales, and Pawars. According to the gallery's brochure, the term "Swaraj" was first used in 1902 by Sakharam Ganesh Deoskar in a Bangla book titled "Shivajir Mahatva" about the life of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Mahatma Gandhi, Veer Savarkar, the Bhartiya Jan Sangh, and the Indian National Congress, among others, used the term "Swaraj." The royal descendant, Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, his wife Priyadarshini Raje, and their son Mahanaryaman greeted Shah in the palace.

Jayajirao Scindia, the ruler of the erstwhile princely state of Gwalior during the British period, built Jai Vilas Palace in 1874. ** For the first time in the country, a goods train with an aluminium rake was built.
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav launched the locally manufactured aluminium rake goods train on Sunday. This is the country's first such goods train, with coaches made of aluminium. This freight train was created in collaboration with Besco Limited Brinjal Division and Hindalco.
** Hyderabad, Telangana, has been awarded the AIPH 'World Green City Award 2022.'
Hyderabad, Telangana, has been named Grand Winner of the AIPH (International Association of Horticultural Producers) World Green City Awards 2022, the most prestigious award of the inaugural AIPH World Green City Awards (2022 edition), for its initiative titled "Green Garland to the State of Telangana." Hyderabad was also honoured in the category of 'Living Green for Economic Recovery and Inclusive Growth.' Hyderabad has been recognised for its initiatives that rely on increased use of plants and nature to improve city environments and contribute to local aspirations for improved economic, social, and environmental resilience.
The award recognised Telangana's 'Telangana Ku Haritha Haram's largescale treeplanting programme, which ran from 2015 to 2016.
The programme aims to increase the state's tree cover from 24% to 33% of total area.

The AIPH World Green City Awards (2022 edition) are the first Green City awards in the world. Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched an MBBS course in Hindi for the first time in Madhya Pradesh on Sunday. On this occasion, he also released three Hindi books for first-year MBBS students as part of the Madhya Pradesh government's ambitious project to provide medical education in Hindi. Replicas of this commemorative stone have been discovered all over the world, where people gather every October 17 to commemorate this day.
On December 22, 1992, the United Nations General Assembly established the 17th of October as the International Day for the Abolition of Poverty through Resolution 47/196.

**The winner of the YSR Lifetime Achievement Awards has been announced.
Recipient of the YSR Lifetime Achievement Award: According to the State government, the YSR Lifetime Achievement and YSR Achievement-2022 Awards will be presented on November 1 during State Formation Day. On Friday, Guntur reporters learned that the High Power Steering Committee's proposed awards had been approved by Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. He added that the honorees were chosen with the highest priority for their ability to affect society and leave a lasting impression through their abilities and talents in a variety of sectors when describing the prizes.
The Dr. YSR Achievement Award includes a cash prize of Rs. 5 lakh, a souvenir, and a commendation letter, whereas the Dr. YSR Lifetime Achievement Award includes a cash prize of Rs. 10 lakh, a bronze statue of Dr. YSR, and these items.
Mr. Krishna Mohan, who announced the winners, stated that all of the honorees were ordinary people who had made extraordinary contributions to their fields, which included rural development, agriculture, culture, fine arts, and traditions.
Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy's distinguished prizes included 30 illustrious organisations and individuals who excelled in education, medicine, agriculture, women's empowerment, fine arts and culture, literature, and journalism.
For the past two years in a row, the YSR Lifetime Achievement Awards have been announced.
The YSR Achievement Awards in Agriculture will be presented to Gopalakrishna of Kusalava Coconut Farmers Producers Company, BR Ambedkar Konaseema district; Jayabba Naidu of Talupala village, Pileru Mandal, Annamaiah district; K.LN. Mouktika of Amrutha Phala Producers Company, Sabbavaram, Anakapalle district; and Kattaman. Veteran film director K. Viswanath and veteran actor and director R. Narayana Murthy received the YSR Lifetime Achievement Awards in Fine Arts and Culture.
For their contributions to the development of wooden kitchen utensils, stage artist Nayudu Gopi, kalamkari saviour Pitchuka Srinivas, and Shaik Gousia Begum from Udayagiri received YSR Achievement Awards in Fine Arts and Culture.
Visalandhra Publishing House, Emesco Publishing House, and author Dr. Santi Narayana are the recipients of the YSR Lifetime Achievement Awards in Literature.
The YSR Lifetime Achievement Awards in women's empowerment and safety were given to the Siireesha Rehabilitation Center in Vuyyuru and Sunita Krishnan of the Prajwala Foundation.
Five Disha police officers—Ravada Jayanti, S.V.V. Lakshminarayana, Rayudu Subrahmanyam, Hajtraiah, and P. Srinivasulu—received joint YSR Achievement Awards.
The Rishi Valley Educational Institution in Madanapalli, the Jawahar Bharati Educational Institution in Kavali, and personality development trainers B.V. Pattabhira and Dastagiri Reddy from Nandyala, who trained thousands of applicants for bank jobs, are among the recipients of the YSR Achievement Awards in Education. M.E.V. Prasada Reddy, Satish Chandra, Bhandaru Srinivasa Rao, and Mangu Rajagopal have received the YSR Lifetime Achievement Awards in Journalism.
B. Nageswara Reddy of the Asian Institute of Gastroenterology, Varaprasada Reddy of Shanta Biotech, Krishna Yella and Suchitra Yella of Bharat Biotech, Pratap C. Reddy, founder-chairman of Apollo Hospitals, and Gullapalli Nageswara Rao of LV Prasad Eye Institute are the recipients of the YSR Lifetime Achievement Awards in Medical and Health.
Grandhi Mallikarjuna Rao has been chosen for the YSR Lifetime Achievement Awards in Industry.
