The Vande Bharat Express train between Chennai and Mysuru successfully completed its trial run.

The train left Chennai at 5.50 a.m. and arrived in Mysuru at 12.13 p.m.

On Monday, November 7, the first Vande Bharat Express train of south India ran on the Chennai-Bengaluru-Mysuru route. On November 11, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the train in Bengaluru.

Senior officials from the Southern Railway and the South Western Railway were on board, as well as technical personnel who were monitoring various parameters throughout the journey. During the trial run, B.G. Mallya, General Manager of Southern Railway, and Sanjeev Kishore, GM of South Western Railway, rode on the train.

According to officials at the Mysuru divisional railway office, the train left Chennai at 5.50 a.m. and arrived in Mysuru at 12.13 p.m.

The train reached 100 kmph between Bengaluru and Mysuru, the maximum permissible speed on this section, and 110 kmph between Bengaluru and Jolarpettai in Tamil Nadu.

According to the officials, the trial went off without a hitch and the ride was smooth.

The Vande Bharat Express would be a new train running between Mysuru and Chennai. This train is one of 75 Vande Bharat Express trains that are expected to run across India by the end of 2023.

The Integral Coach Factory in Perambur, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, manufactures the indigenous rake.

Chair car and executive chair car will be the seating configuration. The train is fully air-conditioned and equipped with sliding doors, CCTV cameras, and comfortable reclining seats. There are also a slew of passenger-comfort features, such as a photocatalytic ultraviolet air purification system.

The Shatabdi Express is currently the fastest train between Mysuru and Chennai, but the Vande Bharat Express is expected to shorten the journey time while also improving passenger comfort.
